Speaking at the inaugural International Solar Festival in Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam, he attributed the impressive growth in solar energy as a crucial contributor to this achievement.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to transitioning toward renewable energy and highlighted initiatives aimed at increasing solar capacity, such as the PM-KUSUM scheme and the National Solar Mission. Modi expressed optimism that India would continue to lead in renewable energy efforts, inspiring other nations to adopt sustainable practices and work collaboratively toward a greener future.
In his address, the Prime Minister also called for greater international cooperation in the renewable energy sector, urging G20 nations to share technology and best practices.
